 Tuyet Tinh Coc – The hidden world

Ninh Binh is a famous destination for many beautiful places which are in world heritage list such as Trang An landscape complex, Hoa Lu, Tam Coc – Bich Dong, Bai Dinh pagoda, Cuc Phuong national park, Phat Diem rock Church, and a lot of old temples and pagodas. Moreover  you can visit Am Tien Cave or Tuyet Tinh Coc. Locals call Am Tien cave is Tuyet Tinh Coc because according to a famous film, a man broke up with his girlfriend, he decided to find a place which had no people, incredible scenery to forget her and live for the rest of his life. It just have only way to go inside Tuyet Tinh Coc, you will have to go through a cave. 


Tuyet Tinh Coc is belong to Hoa Lu ancient capital. It was the place that Dinh Tien Hoang King built to threaten  prisoners and Duong Van Nga Queen used the pagoda there to contemplate until she passed away. It is surrounded by mountains and a large green lake. tourists may feel like they had just disappeared from the real world to get lost in such a hidden fairy site.

According to Nguyen Van Nhat professor – The director of History institute, the scenery around Am Tien cave look like a lonely  area. Long time ago, it’s the place to hold tigers and panthers to kill prisoners. They feeded Giai which is an huge and furious predator to in Giai lake to threaten prisoners.  Le Dai Hanh King also used it to hold Quach Quan Bien, Trieu Phung Huan invaders from China from 981 to 986. There is 205 steps to go to Am Tien cave in the middle of the mountain. The shape of the cave looks like the mouth of dragon so it has another name is Dragon cave. Inside the cave, it has a lot of stalactites with amazing shapes. Duong Van Nga used Am Tien pagoda for comtemplating and it has a poem inside the pagoda to tell about her life.
